Frequently Asked Questions

What will I receive as part of the CRAL franchise system?

We provide you with all of the equipment needed to start services right away with our turnkey trailer. You or your operating manager will have up to 10 days of training at our headquarters. In addition, we will provide up to a total of four days of onsite help at your own location. You will have access to all CRAL operational procedures and other exclusive tools. We’ll also provide you with a copy of our confidential operations manual to help you run your business effectively.

What type of prior experience do I need to have?

Though some experience in mold remediation or other environmental cleaning services is a plus, it is not required to become a CRAL franchise owner. We look for candidates who are dedicated to client service, and solid business management skills are also important. Regardless of your skills or background, we will provide the tools and training you need to run your own CRAL business. We do, of course, also expect that you have the right amount of capital to invest in the franchise program.

How much will the CRAL franchise investment cost me?

The estimated required investment for a single-unit franchise ranges between $110,551 and $161,743, including the franchisee fee of $27,500. As with any new business venture, it’s important that you have the funds needed to adequately open and operate your new business.

Are there ongoing fees paid to the franchisor?

Franchisees will be required to pay royalties ranging between 9.5% and 10%, based on revenues. Franchisees will be required to spend the greater of a minimum of 3% of revenues (or $1000 per month) on local marketing. Franchisees may also be required to contribute up to 2% of revenues (or $200 per week, whichever is greater) toward a system marketing fund. Funds are used to develop marketing strategies to promote the CRAL brand and fund the creative costs to develop local franchise marketing materials.

Is financing available?

No, we do not offer direct financing to franchisees. We may be able to provide references to qualified financing or lending agencies, on a case-by-case basis.

What is the term of the franchise agreement?

The initial term of your franchise agreement is seven years, with two subsequent five-year renewal terms.
